CBSE Class 10 Assessment
The CBSE class 10 examinations have been cancelled and the students will be promoted based on assessment criteria developed by the board. As part of the assessment criteria, the students will be evaluated based on the marks obtained by the students in tests and exams conducted during the academic year at the school level. The class 10 students will be assessed with 100 marks for each subject. 20 marks will have to be submitted by the schools as internal assessment while 80 marks will be based on the scores in the tests, half-yearly exam or midterm exams and pre-boards.
If the schools have conducted more than one test/exam within each category the result committee may fix the weightage to be given for each test/exam within the category subject to the overall maximum marks for the category.
CBSE Basic Maths Criteria
The board has allowed the students to opt for Basic Mathematics in class 10 to opt for the subject in class 11 without appearing for the Standard Version of the paper later on. The exception has been extended to allow Mathematics in Class 11 if the student has offered Mathematics Basic in Class 10.
