NIOS Class 10 12 Exams 2021: The National Institute of Open Schooling has cancelled the NIOS Class 10 examinations scheduled to be conducted in June 2021 while the Class 12 and Vocational examinations have been postponed. The exams were postponed and cancelled considering the COVID-19 situation in the country.

According to the information provided by NIOS, the public exams in theory and practical for the Secondary section which was scheduled to be conducted in June 2021 are cancelled while the public exams in theory and practical for the Senior Secondary and vocational courses scheduled to be held in June 2021 have been postponed until further notice.

The National Institute of Open Schooling has further announced that a review of the COVID-19 situation will be conducted on June 20, 2021 following which the fresh exam notification will be issued 15 days prior to the commencement of the examinations.

According to the information provided by the officials, suitable criteria will be set for the assessment and preparation of results for NIOS class 10 students. Students who are not satisfied with the assessment method will however be given a chance to appear for the public exams or the on-demand exams when the situation improves.

With the announcement, NIOS has joined the Central Board of Secondary Education and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations which have announced the cancellation of the Class 10 examinations while the class 12 (Senior Secondary) exams have been postponed.

Many of the state boards have also cancelled the Class 10 examinations due to the pandemic situation where the class 12 exams have been put on hold until further instructions.
