Assam Board 12th Exams 2021: The Assam state government has announced that the Assam Board class 10 and 12 students preparing to appear for the exams can appear in three papers only. Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu announced that the students appearing for the Assam Higher Secondary exams and class 10 exams can appear for three subjects only.
Discussion underway with board officials
The minister further informed that a discussion with the Assam Board of Secondary education and Assam Higher Secondary Council is underway and a proposal has been submitted regarding the same. He stated that a decision will be taken by the Assam Health and Family Welfare Department and within 15 days from granting permission, the state government will be conducting the exams.
The minister has urged the students to be prepared for the exams and the exams will be conducted as soon as the government permits. According to the policy, the High School Leaving Certificate exam students appear for six subjects every year while Higher Secondary students of Arts Science and Commerce stream appear for five subjects.
This year however the class 10 and 12 students will be required to select three subjects and pass in the same. The class 10 and 12 board exams were postponed by the Board of Secondary Education and Assam Higher Secondary Education Council due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
CBSE style Assam class 12 exams
Assam Board will be conducting the class 12 exams in the CBSE style according to state education minister Ranoj Pegu. After the meeting with Defence minister Rajnath Singh, the Assam state education minister announced that the union defence minister said that the class 12 exam process under the CBSE has to be completed by September 5, 2021. The minister further stated that the defence minister said that the centre will clear the matter within two or three days.
