Virtual Classes on DD Bihar: Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC) has started broadcasting virtual classes for students in classes 9 to 12 through special Doordarshan (DD) channels. The authorities took this step to make up for the disruption in studies, caused by the closure of educational institutes in the state due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Apart from that, The students will also be encouraged and informed about COVID-19 safety protocols and how to and fit amid the crisis at homes. The programme is getting technical support from UNICEF, Bihar.
DD Bihar Virtual Classes Timings
Students can watch the classes on DD Bihar daily from 10 am to 12 pm. The classes for students of 9 and 10 will be conducted from 10 to 11 am. Whereas the classes for students of 11 and 12 will be held from 11 am to 12 pm. The duration of the period for each subject will be 16 to 17 minutes.
These classes are being made to be broadcast on television due to the collaboration of India’s public broadcaster, DD Bihar, with the Bihar Education Project (BEP). This has decided to broadcast virtual classes for students to address students’ learning losses amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The officials of BEPC said that they will re-telecast the ‘Mera Doordarshan-Mera Vidyalaya’ programme to engage students in academic activities through fun learning. Sanjay Singh, director of BEPC appealed, “Headmasters, teachers and guardians are requested to ensure the students of concerned classes watch the programme and avail the benefit.”
Bihar DD Virtual Classes and Objectives
The digital syllabus has been designed with the technical support of UNICEF. The initiative of the Bihar government is aimed at providing digital tutorial benefits to more than 38 lakh students enrolled in over 8,000 schools across the state.
