CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 Cancelled: Finally, the Central Government has heard the voice of students and decided to cancel the CBSE 12th Board Exam 2021 due to the prevailing situation of COVID-19 pandemic. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today during evening hours.
At the meeting, PM Modi noted that the keeping in mind the health and safety of the students, the CBSE Board Class 12 Exam 2021 should be cancelled. He also said that the decision has been taken by the government after holding wide consultations with all the stakeholders from length and breadth of the country. While announcing the decision, he said that students shouldn’t be forced to appear for Board Exams under such stressful situation.
Students Should Be Forced to Appear for Exams: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Coronavirus pandemic situation in the country is dynamic and although the numbers are coming down, some states have opted for lockdown. Understanding the anxiety and stress that Class 12 students have been undergoing for nearly 2 months now, PM Modi said that the current situation is not feasible to hold the CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021 and therefore they should be cancelled. He also added that Students should not be forced to appear for exams in such a stressful situation.
CBSE 12th Result 2021 Evaluation Criteria
Following the decision to cancel the examination, PM Modi asked all the stakeholders to adopt a sensitive approach towards the students and adopt the best way ahead which can secure their academic future as well. At the meeting, it was decided that the Board will take necessary steps to compile the CBSE Class 12 Results 2021 as per a well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner. He also said that result preparation process should be fair and no student should feel left-out from the process.
Option to Appear for Exam Later On
Similar to last year, the CBSE Board is also planning to give students to an option to appear for the CBSE 12th Exam 2021 later on once the situation around COVID-19 pandemic improves. This option will be available to the students who are not satisfied with the marks awarded to them as per the objective criteria announced by the board.
