CHSE Odisha 12th Exam 2021 Cancelled: As per the latest update, the Odisha State Government has decided to cancel the CHSE Odisha 12th Exam 2021 in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik formally announced the cancellation of Odisha Class 12 Exam 2021 saying that life of students is more important than examination. The decision has come across as a great relief for the students who were waiting for the cancellation of the examination in the light of the COVID-19 situation. CM Patnaik has directed the CHSE to formulate a well defined objective criteria to award marks to plus II students after thorough consultations with experts within a stipulated time frame.
Evaluation Criteria Awaited
Now, with the official announcement of the cancellation of Odisha Class 12 Board Exam 2021, the wait will begin for the release of the evaluation criteria using which students’ results would be compiled. AS of now, the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha (CHSE Odisha) has not announced any specific details about how students would be evaluated and marking policy for Class 12 Examination. However, reports coming from the sources have hinted that the board will now formally begin this process with the appointment of an expert committee for the same soon.
Several State Boards Cancel Class 12 Exams
As per the earlier schedule, Odisha 10th and 12th Exam 2021 were scheduled to be held from 3rd to 15th May 2021 across the state. But the same have now been cancelled following the cancellation of Class 10 and 12 Board exams by CBSE Board, CISCE Board as well as several state boards. Following PM Modi’s announcement of cancellation of CBSE 12th Exam 2021 earlier this week, several state boards have also followed similar suit and cancelled Class 12 Board Exams for their respective states. Today i.e. on 4th June – Friday, Karnataka State Government announced cancellation of the Class 12 Examination in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to this, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Gujarat Boards have already cancelled Class 12 Exams following the Central government’s decision to cancel CBSE 12th Exam 2021.
