Tamil Nadu 12th Exam 2021 Cancelled: As per the latest update, the Tamil Nadu State Government has decided to cancel the TN (+2) HSC Exam 2021 in the wake of the 2nd wave of the COVID-19. The decision to cancel the Tamil Nadu +2 Exam 2021 was announced formally by Chief Minister MK Stalin Today i.e. on 5th June – Saturday.

The cancellation of TN Class 12 Board Exam 2021 has come as a major relief for nearly 6 lakh students who were registered to appear for the Tamil Nadu 12th Exam 2021 which was to be held this year. However, now with the cancellation of the Public Exams for this year, students would not have to take the risk of appearing for the exam amid the raging pandemic.

Schools Asked to Seek Suggestions

While Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin has formally announced cancellation of the Tamil Nadu Class 12 Exams 2021, the final decision about how the results for these students would be prepared remains unanswered. As of now, no formal communication is available which can confirm the evaluation criteria or assessment and marking policy for TN HSC result 2021. However, reports coming from DGE TN have hinted that the Directorate has directed nearly 7000 schools spread across the state to seek suggestions from parents and teachers about how students should be evaluated in the light of the prevailing situation.

CM Stalin Calls for Cancellation of NEET, Other Entrance Exams

Media reports have also hinted that, while announcing the decision about cancellation of Tamil Nadu Class 12 Exam 2021 for HSC / +2 students, TN CM also called upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi to cancel other competitive entrance exams as well. Mentioning NEET 2021 medical entrance exam, Mr Stalin said that looking at the current situation and with scientists already predicting a 3rd wave likely soon, the central government should cancel competitive entrance exams for admissions to higher education institutions this academic session.
