AP 10th class exams postponed, Review to be conducted in July : Andhra Pradesh state government has decided to postpone the SSC examinations which were scheduled to commence from June 7, 2021. The decision to postpone the class 10 examinations was taken considering the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the state.
Andhra Pradesh state government recently reduced the syllabus for the SSC 2020-21 examinations and conducted the classes for the students until the second week of April 2021.
The Andhra Pradesh SSC Examinations are usually conducted every year with 11 papers but this year, the board has reduced the total count to 7 papers. The intermediate examinations were also postponed by the state earlier considering the increasing COVID-19 cases in the state.
The SSC students and a few of the social activists have however opposed the schedule of the SSC Examinations and the statement made by the state education minister Adimulapu Suresh regarding conducting the exams from June 7, 2021. A few of the students have decided to move to court seeking orders for the postponement of the exams and promoting the students.
New schedule after analysis
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s office on Thursday announced that the exams will be postponed until the end of June and a fresh schedule of the exams will be released only after conducting a thorough analysis of the situation in the state.
State governments across the country have postponed or cancelled the class 10 examinations for the students due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Some of the state boards are even considering the cancellation of the class 12 examinations although there is a debate over the same with a few states supporting conducting the examinations.
