AP to promote Class 1 to 9 Students: As per the latest update, the Andhra Pradesh State Government has decided to promote all students of Class 1 to 9 to the next academic grade without holding the final or annual exams. In a formal order released today, the state government said that no exams would be held for Primary and Upper Primary Class students in the light of the worsening COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country.
Official Order Released by Principal Secretary
The formal order confirming the cancellation of annual exams for Class 1 to 9 students and their promotion to the next class without holding the final exam, has been released by the State Principal Secretary B. Rajsekhar. Mr B. Rajsekhar in his order said that “All students of classes I to IX in all schools under all managements shall be treated as pass and promoted to their next class, duly cancelling summative assessment – II examinations for the academic year 2020-21.” The order also states that now with the exams cancelled, the state government has also announced summer vacation from Tuesday for these students.
AP SSC, Intermediate Exams On Schedule
While students of Class 1 to 9 have been promoted without exams, the state government has reiterated that AP SSC and Intermediate Board Exams 2021 will continue as per the schedule announced earlier. The clarification came from Mr Rajsekhar to avoid any confusion among the students who are facing a rumour-storm around cancellation or postponement of the exams. Assuring students and parents of their safety and well-being during the AP SSC Exam 2021, the state government noted that all COVID protocols would be followed and students would be required to appear for the examination at the designated centres. Furthermore, the order adds “All teachers dealing with Class 10 shall attend the schools on all working days as per the schedule given by the headmaster concerned.”
