Bihar board to conduct classes for students from class 9 to 12 from May 10 on DD Bihar: Bihar state government has announced that the students from classes 9 to 12 will have their classes on DD Bihar. As per the announcement, the classes will begin on May 10, 2021, and will be broadcasted on Doordarshan so that every student can avail of the facility.
Class Schedule
The classes for the students from classes 9 and 10 will be conducted from 10 AM to 11 AM while the classes for the students of classes 11 and 12 will be conducted from 11 AM to 12 AM. Parents and teachers have been asked to ensure that the students watch the broadcast without fail.
Each class will be conducted for a duration of 16 to 17 minutes and three classes will be conducted in each hour. Students will also be given mantras to keep themselves healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although students will not be able to ask questions, the classes will be a relief for the students who don’t have proper internet facilities at home.
Mera Doordarshan Mera Vidyalaya
The initiative has been taken by the state government of Bihar to benefit close to 36 lakh students from over 8000 schools in the state. The Bihar Education Project Council prepared the ‘Mera Doordarshan Mera Vidyalaya’ programme last year and the digital syllabus for the classroom has been prepared with technical support from UNICEF.
Subject experts have also prepared the curriculum with the help of the high school teachers. The students will be given the complete schedule of the topics a day prior to the broadcast.
Bihar Board class 10 and 12 examination results were declared by the board officials in the first week of May and the last week of April 2021 respectively. The Bihar state board is the only board to complete the class 10 and 12 board exams and declare the evaluation while the remaining states boards have taken the decision to either cancel the class 10 exams or postpone the class 10 and 12 exams completely.
