Chhattisgarh MDS and BDS examinations postponed: According to the latest reports, the Chhattisgarh MDS and BDS examinations have been postponed by the AYUSH University of Raipur. The MDS and BDS examinations were scheduled to be conducted from May 13, 2021. Candidates who were to appear for the Chhattisgarh MDS and BDS examinations can visit the official website of AYUSH University of Raipur to check the official notification.
PIL Filed by students
A public Interest Litigation was filed in the case of the summer vacations in Chhattisgarh which is why it is likely that the Chhattisgarh BDS and MDS exams will be postponed until June 7, 2021. Students filed the PIL as the exams were scheduled to be conducted amidst the increasing COVID-19 cases in the state. The students stated that it was unfair to conduct the offline exams during the worsening COVID-19 situation. Students further added that the Chhattisgarh BDS and MDS offline exams may cause an infection to the students who will be appearing for the exams in large numbers. Based on the petition filed the High Court was urged to take necessary decisions and postpone the offline examinations.

Single Bench of Justice P Koshi has ordered a stay on the university’s decision to conduct the BDS and MDS examinations a notice has also been issued by the court to the university asking for immediate action on the matter.
The next hearing on the mode of conduct of the exams and the date of the exams will be on June 7, 2021, and until then the Chhattisgarh BDS and MDS exams have been postponed.
