Delhi Lockdown News – Travel Allowed for Exam: With Arvind Kejriwal Government imposing a week-long lockdown in the national capital from 19th April 10 PM to 26th April 2021 5 AM., many students who were due to appear for exams were concerned about their travel. Addressing them, the Delhi Government permitted travel of students and exam staff members in the city using a valid to admit card or appointment letter.

Delhi Lockdown NewsDuring the week-long Delhi Lockdown or curfew, the state government has allowed students to travel within the city to appear for exams. Students can use their exam admit cards which as curfew passes to authorities to travel to their exam centres and appear for any exams lined up this week.

What does Official Order Say?

The official order released by the DDMA – Delhi, specifically mentions students who are due to appear for exams, and staff members who are involved in holding exams, saying that they will be allowed to travel for exam duties during the Delhi Week Lockdown. The order says “Persons or students shall be allowed to appear in the examination on the production of valid admit card. The examination staff deployed for exam duties shall be allowed to travel on the production of valid identity card”.

Exams Cancelled due to COVID

With the 2nd Wave of COVID-19 sweeping across the country, the majority of schools and colleges have cancelled any exams lined up for the students. CBSE Board, ICSE Board as well as State Boards have decided to cancel or postpone the Class 10 and 12 Exams in the light of the rapid rise in the COVID-19 numbers throughout the country. Major universities and varsities have also decided to postpone exams to a later date. A few government exams and competitive exams are expected to place this week, but the exam authorities are reviewing the situation and will announce an update on the same soon.
