What do the fresh guidelines say?
As part of the fresh guidelines issued by the Delhi University on 3rd April 2021, the varsity has issued ‘Stay at Home’ orders for all the students of the varsity. Moreover, the order also addresses students who are currently put up at hostels and asks them to avoid physical presence for their academic work unless “very essential”. In addition to this, the guidelines also say that all essential academic and administrative work of the varsity will continue with strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines.
Guidelines for Students, Staff Visiting Campus
Those who would be visiting the university campus and colleges as part of ‘essential work’, will have to follow the new guidelines as a preventive measure. The key guidelines shared by the varsity include thermal screening at gates, social distancing, and wearing masks mandatorily, while entry inside the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Arts, hostels, and halls among other places will be restricted and no outsiders allowed. Moreover, use and booking of common facilities including a conference center and seminar hall for any functions have also been barred until further notice.
