Dibrugarh University Exams 2021 Postponed: As per the latest update, Dibrugarh University has decided to postpone the upcoming UG and PG Semester Exams in the light of the rapidly rising COVID-19 cases in the state. The decision has been taken as a precautionary step keeping the safety, well-being, and health of the students as the top priority.
The decision to postpone the upcoming semester exams for undergraduate and postgraduate students would be applicable to both traditional as well as professional courses.
Exams Postponed for Traditional and Professional Courses
The official announcement says that all postgraduate level exams for traditional as well as professional courses such as Integrated MSc in Physics have been postponed to a later date. On similar lines, all undergraduate exams under CBCS and non-CBCS mode and undergraduate professional examinations including BEd, BTech, LLb, BA LLB (H), BCom LLB (H), and BBA LLB (H) have been postponed.
New Dates to be Announced Soon
With the exams being postponed for both undergraduate as well postgraduate level students, speculations have already started about when the exam would be held now. In this regard, the varsity has informed that as of now, no decision has been taken about the new exam dates. However, the university administration is closely reviewing the developing situation around COVID-19 and will issue revised dates for exams accordingly. Until then, students are advised to keep visiting the official website for updates and news.
COVID-19 SOPs Released
With the rapid increase in the COVID-19 case numbers in the state, the University has also released a detailed COVID-19 Guidelines and SOPs document which notes down important preventive and precautionary measures that are to be taken by the students and staff members. As per the DU SOPs, the members of the departments and centers have been asked to mandatorily observe the COVID-19 protocols, maintain social distancing and observe healthy respiratory etiquettes. Furthermore, as part of the SOPs, all Sports, cultural and other activities that can lead to the gathering of more than 3 people, have been prohibited. Moreover, the entry of visitors to university campuses will also remain restricted until further notice.
