GATE COAP 2021 Result: India Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, the coordinating institute of the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) will release the first allotment list today. All the registered candidates can access the seat allotment result at the official website of COAP – coap.iitm.ac.in. Candidates can log in using their user ID and password to view the offers and accept/decline them. Candidates who are satisfied with the round 1 seat allotment can confirm their decision of accepting their seats till the prescribed date.

How to check admission offers through GATE COAP 2021 portal?
Candidates can check their first seat allotment result on the official website of COAP. The allotment offers will be available only in online mode. Check below the steps to accept/decline offers through GATE COAP 2021 portal of the first seat allotment round –
Step 1 – Visit the official website of COAP – coap.iitm.ac.in.
Step 2 – On the homepage, login using the valid ID and password.
Step 3 – Click on the “Seat Allotment” button.
Step 4 – The institute-wise allotment of seats for every institute’s status in which applied will be reflected on the screen.
Step 5 – Candidates have to confirm the seat allotment with options from “Accept and Freeze”, “Retain and Wait”, “Reject and Wait” and “Reject”.
GATE COAP 2021 Seat Allotment Options
Once the seat allotment is done, candidates will have to confirm the seat allotment with options from “Accept and Freeze”, “Retain and Wait”, “Reject and Wait” and “Reject”. Those who have not been allotted any seat will have to wait for subsequent rounds for the allotment.
Option 1 – Accept and Freeze: Candidates can select this option when they wish to accept the allotted seat and do not want upgradation in any subsequent rounds of seat allotment. They will not be considered for any seat allotment or upgrading offers in any subsequent rounds of admission.
Option 2 – Retain and Wait: This option can be selected when candidates wish to accept the allotted seat but also want to be considered for upgrading in subsequent seat allotment rounds. Such candidates will not be considered for the other rejected offers in the current round. Also, if any higher preferred offer is made in the next round then the existing ‘Retain and Wait’ offer will get cancelled.
Option 3 – Reject and Wait: Candidate can select this option only if they are not willing to accept any of the offers. Those with this offer will not be considered for any other higher preferences.
GATE COAP 2021 Seat Allotment Dates
As per the released dates, the result for the second seat allotment will be available from 4 to 6 June. Whereas the third, fourth and fifth seat allotment result will be announced on 11 to 13, 18 to 20, 25 to 27 June 2021. Other additional rounds will be held between 2 July to 1 August.

The Common Offer Acceptance Portal is a common platform for the registered candidates to make a preferred choice for admission to an MTech programme in the participating institutes or job offer from participating public sector units (PSU). For admission in M.Tech courses in any of the participating IITs or ISc Bangalore, candidates must have a valid GATE score.
