Goa Board SSC / HSC Exam 2021 Postponement or Cancellation after 30th April: According to a senior official, the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will be making a decision on classes 10 and 12 board examinations after April 30, 2021. The examinations were scheduled to be conducted from April 24, 2021, but have been postponed due to the increasing COVID-19 cases as per an order issued on April 21, 2021.

Goa Board SSC / HSC Exam  2021 Postponement or Cancellation after 30th April Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education chairperson Bhagirath Shetye while speaking to the media stated that the board is adopting a wait and watch policy at present after the exams for class 10 and 12 students were postponed. The future of the exams will be decided after April 30, 2021, considering the situation at the time in the state.

Changes affecting students

Former School Principal and Goa-based Educationist – Narayan Desai stated that there was no option but to postpone the class 10 and 12 exams given the present situation. He also added that constant shifting from online to offline and mixed modes of education was a challenge for the students and is affecting their studies.

Founder-Director of Triya Group of Institutions Captain Amardeep stated that postponement of the exams was a thoughtful move by the government although it may affect the students and their preparations for competitive exams and plans to secure admissions in colleges and universities abroad.

Board exams canceled

With the cases of COVID-19 increasing in the states across the country, a majority of the state governments are opting to postpone the class 10 and 12 exams. Some of the states and the CBSE and ICSE boards have however decided to cancel the class 10 exams and postpone the class 12 exams until further notice or an improvement in the situation.
