HP Board Exam 2021: Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has ordered to postpone the class 12 board exams till further orders. Apart from this, the state government decided to cancel the annual examination of the class 10th held by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education. Also, all the educational institutions in the state will remain closed till 31st May 2021. The state government decided these in a meeting that was held on Wednesday.
About the Meeting
On Wednesday, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur reviewed the
situation in the state and announced a slew of measures to prevent the spread of the virus. As per the official statement, “Keeping in view the sharp surge of COVID-19 cases in the state, it was also decided in the meeting that the annual examination of the 10th standard of Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education would stand cancelled.”
HPBOSE Class 10th Marking Scheme
Earlier, the board announced that the class 10 students will be promoted to class 11 as per norms suggested by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for their students. As per CBSE marking criteria for class 10 students, they will be evaluated based on internal assessment and other exams – 20 marks from internal assessment and 80 from other exams – conducted during the academic year.
