HPBOSE 12th Exam 2021 Cancelled: Going by the latest update, the Himachal Pradesh Government has decided to cancel the HP Board 12th Exam 2021 for Plus Two Students. The decision to cancel HPBOSE Class 12 Exam 2021 has been taken keeping in mind the current pandemic situation and the probability of the 3rd Wave of COVID-19 hitting the country in coming days. The decision to cancel the HPBOSE 10+2 Exam 2021 was taken by the state government at a Cabinet meeting held today i.e. on 5th June – Saturday. The Cabinet meet was chaired by HP CM Jai Ram Thakur in which the HPBOSE Plus Two Exam 2021 were cancelled.
Assessment to be Based on Formula Similar to CBSE
During the cabinet meeting, the evaluation criteria and marking policy which is to be followed after the cancellation of the HPBOSE 12th Exam 2021 was also discussed. Reports have confirmed that the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet feels that to ensure parity with students of other boards, it would follow the assessment formula adopted by the CBSE. The official statement issued by the state government in this regards read “HP Board of School Education would devise a formula for calculating the awards of the students keeping in view the formula being devised by the CBSE and declare the final results accordingly.”
Earlier, the state government had decided to cancel the HPBOSE 10th Exam 2021 as well in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The board is now devising ways as to how the Class 10 students will be promoted. Reports have hinted that the the final results of Class 10 be calculated on the basis of performances in the first term, second term, pre-board and internal assessment exams.
Special Exams for Unsatisfied Students
With cancellation of exams and compilation of HPBOSE 12th Result 2021 on the basis of internal assessment, the state government has also provided an option to appear for re-exam. The state government has said that those students who are not satisfied with the results prepared on the basis of internal assessment will be able to appear for special examination which will be held later on, once the situation improves.
