IISc JAM 2021: First Admission List Released

JAM 2021: As per the updates, the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISc) has released the JAM 2021 first admission list today on 16th June 2021. Candidates who have registered for the JAM can check the first admission list at jam.iisc.ac.in. The first admission list for each programme under JAM 2021 has been prepared by the organizing institute after taking into consideration the order of preference as given in the admission form and corresponding ranks in the merit list.

IISc Bangalore will release three JAM admission lists to allocate the seats to the candidates in various participating institutions. As per the official site, the second list will release on 1st July and the third and final list will release on 16th July 2021. The closure of admissions through JAM 2021 will be by 20th July 2021.

What After the Release of JAM 2021 First Admission List?

After the declaration of the first list of admission, intimation will be sent by the Organizing Institute to the candidates concerned. Along with the submission of the acceptance form, these candidates will also have to pay an advance seat booking fee (Rs.10000/- for General/OBC- NCL/EWS category candidates and Rs.5000/- for SC/ST/PwD category candidates) online through JOAPS, within the deadline mentioned in the offer letter.

Also, they need to submit the prescribed documents. Candidates who are unable to submit some of the required documents along with their admission application can submit the undertaking form available on JOAPS. The missing documents must be submitted to the admitting Institute before 30th September 2021. Offer made to candidates will be provisional until all required documents are submitted, else the seats get automatically cancelled after this deadline.

About JAM

The Joint Admission Test (JAM) for M.Sc programmes is a national level examination for admission into M.Sc., Masters in Economics, Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other post-bachelors degree programmes for admission to 20 IITs and IISc Bangalore. The entrance exam result was announced on 20th March. A total of 5,89,69 students appeared for the JAM 2021 exam. This year as many as 14,725 candidates have scored above the test papers specific cutoff marks.
