Jawaharlal Nehru University has extended the last date for the submission of the M.phil, M.Tech, and Ph.D. thesis of the students. The university had extended the submission by Six months to June 30, 2021, in December 2020.
According to an official notification released by the university, the terminal M.Phil, M.Tech, and Ph.D. students will be able to submit their research thesis by December 31, 2021, this year. As per the details mentioned in the statement considering the UGC notification released on March 16, 2021, and in continuation with the circular released by JNU on December 10, 2020, an extension of six months has been provided for the submission of the thesis by terminal M.Phil/M.Tech and Ph.D. students from the university also include students registered under 9(b).

In addition to this, the extension is also applicable to another terminal M.Phil/M.Tech/Ph.D. students whose thesis is due for submission on June 30, 2021. The notification released further adds that the university has also granted an extension of six months for the submission of ‘evidence of publication and presentation in two conferences wherever applicable. The tenure of the fellowship of M.Phil/Ph.D. students will however remain the same.
JNU to continue online classes in the current semester
According to a recent notification released, the Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University has announced that the university will be continuing the current semester for the students in the online mode and the admissions for the new semester may begin by the end of April 2021.
