Karnataka Board Exam 2021 Decision Soon: As per the latest update, the Karnataka State Government is expected to take the final decision on SSLC Exam 2021 for Class 10 students and PUC 2nd Year Exam 2021 for 12th Class soon. Media reports have claimed that the State Board is considering ‘One Day’ PUC Exam 2021 for Class 12 students in the light of the current pandemic situation.

Over 14 lakh students have registered for the Karnataka SSLC, PUC Board Exams 2021. On 1st June, State Education Minister, S Suresh Kumar had said that the decision on SSLC and PUC Exams will be taken soon keeping in mind the students’ health and future.

‘One Day’ PUC Exam Likely for Class 12 Students

With CBSE and CISCE Boards already announcing cancellation of CBSE 12th Exam 2021, the state government is mulling holding the PUC Exams as One Day Examination. Media reports from local agencies have hinted that if finalized the One Day Karnataka PUC Exam 2021 will be held either at the end of July or in the first week of August 2021. For the One Day exam, students would be given an opportunity to pick any three subjects to appear for the exam, which will be based on multiple choice questions. As per sources, the state government is not planning to cancel the PUC Exams, especially because several jobs both at the government and in the private sector consider PUC Results as mandatory parameter.

Education Minister’s Statement

On 1st June 2021, the Education Minister, S Suresh said that the decision on Karnataka SSLC, PUC board exams 2021 will be released soon. He further added that in light of current developments, a decision will be made keeping in mind the students’ health and future.

Student’s Campaign For Cancellation of Exams

The state government is currently collecting information about the students’ preparedness for the exam. The necessity of evaluation, method of assessing the students and other aspects are being checked thoroughly. Meanwhile, many educationalists and students are campaigning on the cancellation of the Karnataka SSLC, PUC board exam 2021. Many students took to Twitter to voice their concerns. Some have even pointed out the situation in the state, which has been one of the worst in the country. Karnataka is also witnessing a rising case of Black Fungus, which is a matter of grave concern.

Other State’s Decision

The Karnataka SSLC exams 2021 were scheduled to be conducted from 21st June to 5th July 2021, while the 2nd PUC exams were scheduled to be held between 24th May and 16th June 2021. Following the CBSE’s decision to cancel the class 12th exams, many states, including Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, have already decided to cancel class 12 board exams this year. Other states will also soon take decisions regarding the board exams.
