Kerala SSLC and Plus Two Exams 2021 As per Schedule: Going by the latest update coming from Thiruvananthapuram, the General Education Department of Government of Kerala has decided to hold the upcoming Kerala SSLC Exam 2021 for Class 10 students and DHSE Kerala Plus Two Exams 2021 for HSE or Class 12 students as per the schedule announced earlier.
The clarification from the Education Department came following rumours and speculations about the postponement or cancellation of Kerala Board Exams 2021 due to the rapid rise in the COVID-19 cases numbers.
Strict Adherence to COVID-19 Protocols
Addressing the concerns of students and parents about their safety during the SSLC and Plus Two Exams, the Kerala Education Department said that all the necessary preparations to hold exams with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols have been made. The education department also assured that adequate precautionary measures have already been taken to ensure the safety of students, teachers and other staff. Kerala SSLC Exams in the state commenced on 8th April and will continue until 29th April, while Plus Two Exams would be held until 26th April 2021. A total of 4,951 centres have been designated for the safe conduct of exams where over 9 lakh students would appear for the Class 10 and 12 Board Exams.
COVID-19 Checks during Kerala Board Exams
In a statement issued today, the Director of General Education said that all exam centres have been equipped with the necessary resources to ensure the safe and smooth conduct of the exams. The statement also added that all steps are being taken to ensure students follow social distancing while writing exams. Education Department has recommended the use of triple-layer masks for teachers, non-teaching staff and students. Moreover, students and staff members would be allowed inside the campus of the assigned exam centre only after undergoing a thorough thermal check. Handwash and sanitisers have also been made available for students, teachers, and other staff.
Furthermore, the Dept also added that arrangements have been made at the school level for students, who are COVID positive, those under quarantine and also those having high body temperature, to write exams, it said.
