Tripura postpones School Exams: As per the latest update, the Tripura State Government has decided to postpone the final annual exams for Class 3 to 9 students as well as Class 11 students due to the deteriorating COVID-19 pandemic. New directions about the revised exam dates for annual final exams will be notified by the education department soon. The announcement about Final School Exams being postponed has come across as major relief for students of the state, who had been demanding the same citing safety and health concerns.

News Confirmed by Education Minister

To avoid confusion among the students with regards to the exam postponement, Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath formally announced the decision. Mr. Nath took to Twitter and announced that “All examinations scheduled earlier from class III to IX and XI shall be treated as postponed w.e.f. 26.04. 2021 until further orders”. He also added that “All the other instructions and guidelines already issued should remain operational.” The order of postponement of school-level annual exams is applicable to all the schools i.e. all government, government-aided, un-aided private schools, and madrasa of the state.

TBSE Board Exams 2021 as per Schedule

While the annual exams for school students of 3rd to 9th and 11th Class have been postponed, the state government has said that there is no change in the dates of the upcoming Board exams. As per the update, the ongoing pre-board exams of Classes 10 and 12 will be continued as per the schedule. The timetable released earlier says that Tripura Board Exam 2021 for Class 10 and 12 is scheduled to begin on May 19 and May 18, 2021.
