UP Board 10th Exam 2021 Cancelled: Finally, ending the long standing dilemma of nearly 28 lakh students, the UP Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Mr Dinesh Sharma has announced that UP Board High School Exam 2021 for Class 10 students has been cancelled in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr Sharma also added that UP Board Intermediate Exam 2021 for Class 12 students would be held in the 2nd week of July 2021. The announcement comes as a major relief for Class 10 students of UP Board who have been eagerly waiting for the same for nearly 3 weeks now.

Class 10 Exam Cancelled, Promotion Criteria to be Announced Soon

With the cancellation of examination, it is now clear the all students of Class 10 who are enrolled in schools affiliated with the UP Board has been promoted to the next grade without holding the exam. While Mr Dinesh Sharma announced that UPMSP has cancelled the UP Board 10th Exam 2021 due to COVID-19, he didn’t specify the promotion criteria that would be used for assessing them. Promotion criteria would be announced at a later date.

Class 12 Exam in 2nd Week of July

While the examination for Class 10 i.e. High School students of UP Board has been cancelled, the state government has decided to hold the Class 12 Exam for intermediate students once the situation around the pandemic improves. As per the announcement made by UP Deputy CM Mr Dinesh Sharma, UP Board 12th Class Exam 2021 would be held in the 2nd Week of July 2021. As of now no specific date has been finalized for the exam as the government would look at the prevailing situation and hold exams only if it is viable. As for the pattern and syllabus, he informed that the exams would be conducted as per the prevalent pattern.

Class 6 to 9 and Class 11 Students to be Promoted

Apart from cancellation of Class 10 exam for UP Board students, the state government has also decided that no annual assessment exam would be held for Class 6 to 9 students and Class 11 students as well. All students of these classes would be promoted to next class without holding the exam. This decision would be applicable to all students of the board as well as for students of other boards in the absence of the respective board’s promotion policy.
