UP Board 12th Exam 2021 Cancelled:Health and Safety of children our priority, says CM Yogi Adityanath: Uttar Pradesh state government has announced the cancellation of the UP Board class 12 examinations. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while announcing the cancellation of the exams announced that the health of the children is a priority amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision to cancel the examinations was taken in a meeting chaired by the state chief minister with the Deputy CM who also is in charge of the Secondary Education Department.
In the tweet put out by the chief minister, it was mentioned that under the present circumstances amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of the students is a priority and taking inspiration from the Prime Minister, the UP government has decided not to conduct the class 10 and 12 board examinations.
Approximately 26 lakh candidates have registered for the class 12 board examinations in the state. The UP Board class 10 examinations were previously cancelled by the board after which nearly 30 lakh candidates who registered for the exams were promoted to class 11.
Class 12 Exam Cancelled
After the announcement of the class 12 CBSE examinations was made, many of the state governments have announced the cancellation of the class 12 exams. The class 12 exams are being cancelled considering the COVID-19 situation. The CBSE will be evaluating the class 12 students based on an internal assessment pattern set by the board. The evaluation scheme will be released on the official website of the board.
